On March 19, 2018, the sale of 100% of the shares of MAWISTA Group, a Germany-based leading online provider of travel health insurance for students and expats, to Allianz Partners (former Allianz Worldwide Partners) was closed. Allianz Partners is the world's leading B2B2C specialist and expert in assistance, international health & life, automotive and travel insurance and part of the Allianz Group, one of the world's largest insurers and leading financial services companies.

Within its niche market, MAWISTA has established a highly reputable brand name, strong online presence and customised insurance solutions. Over the recent years, the company has demonstrated superior growth rates and profitability margins.

Fortlane Partners acted as exclusive financial advisor to the selling shareholders.

MAWISTA Group (founded in 2003) is one of the leading German online insurance brokers within a special segment in the travel health insurance. The group provides insurance products specifically tailored to meet the needs of foreign language students, students in general, trainees, guest scientists and expats - both inbound and outbound.
