goetzpartners advised HEW-Kabel Holding GmbH ("HEW-Kabel") with a Commercial Due Diligence on the acquisition of and merger with Habia Cable AB ("Habia Cable"), a globally leading provider of custom-design, specialized cable and connectivity solutions based in Sweden.

The project approach included a comprehensive analysis and evaluation of Habia Cable's global design and manufacturing capabilities in a market, where customers demand highest quality standards for most demanding on- and offshore applications. For our assessment of the company's high-mix low-volume product portfolio, we considered a broad range of technical performance indicators, incl. fire, chemical, abrasion, and radiation resistance. In a diverse competitive environment, our analyses also included an assessment of alternative strategic setups and business model archetypes. The translation of individual strengths and weaknesses into financial performance dimensions allowed to prove Habia Cable's unique capabilities and competitive edge. The company's globally diversified blue-chip customer base was carefully examined with a special emphasis on individual end market characteristics as well as the project-based nature of the business.
