Fortlane Partners advised Software Partners Group and secured a bespoke financing for the acquisition of Desk Software & Consulting (“Desk”) and isales, and the formation of Software Partners Group (“SPG” or the “Group”), an active consolidator of the German market for products and services in the areas of enterprise resource planning (“ERP”) and human resources (“HR”) for small- and medium-sized businesses.

Based on its extensive experience in the ERP and HR software and services market, Software Partners Group, together with the management team will further drive the development of the Group over the coming years. The merger will create one of the leading platforms specializing in commercial software in the Sage environment in the DACH market. The goal is to combine the strengths, experience and resources of both companies and to leverage synergies within the Group. Desk contributes its strength in the development of its own products and modules, and isales its established sales organization and competence in the craftsmen segment. In the future, SPG will actively consolidate the German ERP and HR software and services market for small- and medium-sized customers via add-on acquisitions.

Fortlane Partners provided key support during the entire financing process from educating potential lenders, over giving key advice during the credit documentation phase, to ensuring a successful closing of the transaction. The competitive financing package includes an acquisition line for potential add-on acquisitions to support the Group’s strategy.
